Other interpretations of the Gayathri Mantra :-
O supreme Lord,
Thy resident of my body, mind and intellect,
Brilliant like the Sun, and the destroyer of ignorance,
I adore You,
May You brighten and liberate my intellect and let it experience the buddhic level of Thy, Divine Effulgence.
We meditate upon the Divine Light of that adorable sun of Spiritual Consciousness, which stimulates our power of spiritual perception.
Prayer to Gayathri Mother:-
The energy of the SUN sustains all life on earth. The SUN regulates the lengths of night and day and thereby controls the life of all man.
In the Gayathri Mantra, we pray to the CONSCIOUSNESS the POWER that is in the sun. This CONSCIOUSNESS is visualized as Gayathri Mother the Mother who will lead us to God-Realization.
This is why one is said to be twice born, born again when initiated into the Gayathri.
"O Divine Mother, our hearts are filled with darkness. Please make this darkness distant from us and promote Illumination within us."
